Christian Workshop is a contract industrial sewing and fabrication shop in Melbourne, Florida. Since 1971 we have made custom soft cases, covers, carriers, pouches, straps, and foam inserts for aerospace, defense, medical, and technology companies, first responders, and OEMs. ITAR and SAM registered, CAGE 0FDR6, with Berry-compliant and Mil-Spec materials when your contract requires them.

Cases, covers, carriers, pouches, straps, and fitted interiors. Each one is cut for its purpose, sewn from materials that have held up in the field, and built in one Florida shop.
Are you ITAR registered, and can you work to Berry and Mil-Spec requirements?
Yes. Christian Workshop is ITAR registered, SAM registered, and listed under CAGE code 0FDR6 (NAICS 314910 and 316990). When a job calls for Berry-compliant or Mil-Spec materials, we source them through suppliers we have worked with for decades and note the requirement on the quote. Put it in the RFQ and we will build to it.
We only need a few units. Is that too small a job?
No. Low minimums are normal here. A lot of aerospace work starts as a single prototype for a fit check, then moves to a small release once the design is approved. We can hold the pattern and run repeat releases as your program needs them. For larger builds, the shop has 20+ industrial sewing machines and 6,000 square feet to work with.
What materials do you use for aircraft and flight-line equipment?
Mostly ballistic nylon, Cordura, packcloth, and ripstop for the shell, with cotton duck, Naugahyde, or clear vinyl where they suit the job better. Padding is polyurethane, polyethylene, or XLPE foam, and we can add ABS, HDPE, or Kydex backing where a panel needs to hold its shape. Hardware is metal or plastic depending on the spec. If your drawing calls out a specific material or mil number, send it over and we will match it.
Can you build fitted interiors for hard cases we already own?
Yes. Send us the case model and the equipment it has to hold, or ship us a unit, and we will cut and assemble foam inserts, pouches, and dividers to fit. Foam, fabric, and composite are laser cut and die cut in house, so the fit is the same on the last unit as it was on the first.

What do we need to send you to get a quote?
A drawing or sketch with dimensions, the quantity, and any material or compliance callouts (Berry, Mil-Spec, ITAR). If you have a sample or the equipment the item has to hold, ship it to us. If you have none of that yet, a description and a few photos are enough to start. We will come back with questions before we price anything.
Can you handle ITAR-controlled work?
Yes. Christian Workshop is ITAR registered and SAM registered under CAGE code 0FDR6, and we have built for L3Harris, Leonardo DRS, and Motorola. Controlled drawings stay in the shop, and we can sign whatever agreement your program requires before you send them.
Do you use Berry-compliant materials?
When the contract requires it, yes. We buy nylon, webbing, hardware, and foam from domestic suppliers we have worked with for decades, and we note Berry compliance on the quote so it is on paper from the start. If the contract does not require it, we will tell you where a non-domestic material saves money and let you decide.
How does delivery work on a multi-year program?
However your contract is written. We can run the full order at once or hold the pattern and ship releases on a schedule. Repeat releases are built from the same pattern and the same material spec, so a unit delivered in year three matches the one you approved in year one.

Can you make cases for instruments still in development?
Yes, and that is usually the best time to start. Send us a drawing, a 3D print, or a pre-production unit and we will build a prototype case around it. When the housing changes, and it usually does, we adjust the pattern and run a new sample. Once the device is final, the same pattern goes to production.
Our gear moves around. What will the case be made of?
For a shell that takes that kind of daily handling, ballistic nylon or Cordura over closed-cell foam is the usual answer. Clear vinyl windows, wipe-down Naugahyde panels, and padded dividers are common add-ons for medical work. We can also cut ABS or Kydex backing where a panel needs to stay flat so a probe or sensor seats the same way every time.
Can you build the inside of a hard case we already ship with?
Yes. Send us the case and the equipment it has to hold and we will cut foam inserts, pouches, and dividers to fit. Foam is laser cut or die cut in house, so every cavity matches the one before it. Canon Medical has used us this way, and it is a large share of what we do for diagnostics customers.
What volume can you handle?
Anything from a single prototype to a standing order. Low minimums are normal here, and we can hold your pattern and ship releases on a schedule once the device is in the field. The shop has 20+ industrial sewing machines and 6,000 square feet, so larger runs do not require going somewhere else.

Antenna bags, radio carriers, cable and battery bags, laptop cases, and covers for gear that gets deployed, packed up, and deployed again.
Can you build a carrier for a radio with cables and accessories?
Yes. That is most of what we do for communications customers. We lay out the main unit, the cables, batteries, and antennas, then build pouches and dividers so each piece has a place and nothing has to be unpacked to get at something else. Motorola, Tampa Microwave, and GATR Technologies have all come to us for this kind of work.
Do you make antenna covers and bags?
Yes, for both portable antennas and fixed installations. Transit bags for dish and mast systems, padded sleeves for individual elements, and weather covers for equipment that stays outside. Send us the dimensions or the antenna itself and we will pattern to it.
We need a laptop case that survives field use, not an office bag.
That is a different product and we treat it that way. Heavier shell fabric, closed-cell foam, reinforced corners, and hardware rated for the weight. We have built military laptop carriers and a custom case for L3Harris equipment, and the same approach applies to ruggedized tablets and test gear.
Our product is still changing. How will updates work?
We hold your pattern and adjust it when the housing or accessory list changes, then run a new sample for approval. Once you sign off, production picks up from the revised pattern. Low minimums mean you are not paying for a large run of a case that fits last quarter’s design.

Holsters, sheaths, badge holders, duty pouches, equipment bags, and covers for gear that rides in a vehicle all shift and has to work the moment it comes out.
Do you make holsters and duty gear for a specific firearm or tool?
Yes. Send us the model, or bring it in, and we will fit the holster or sheath to it. Leather, Kydex, and nylon are all options depending on how you carry and what your department allows. We have done holsters, knife sheaths, and badge holders for years, and the Cocoa Police Department has come back to us more than once.
Can a department order a set, or is this one-at-a-time work?
Either. A single officer can order one holster. A department can order fifty to the same pattern, and we will hold that pattern so a new hire gets the same piece two years later. Low minimums and repeat releases are normal for us.
We need equipment bags for the truck. What do you use that holds up?
Heavy nylon or cotton duck shell, nylon cargo webbing for straps and handles, and metal hardware that does not crack when it gets cold or stepped on. Pockets and dividers are laid out around the gear you actually carry, so tell us what goes in the bag. If the outside needs a unit name or number, we can embroider it.
Can you repair or rebuild gear we already have?
Usually. Bring it in and we will tell you whether it is worth fixing or whether a new one makes more sense. Restitching, new hardware, replacement straps, and relining are common jobs. The shop is in Melbourne and walk-ins are welcome.
OEMs & manufacturers
Soft components for hard products. Fitted cases, foam inserts, straps, covers, and pouches that ship in the box with your equipment or bolt onto it.
Can you make the case, insert, and strap, or just the sewing?
All of it. We cut foam, fabric, composite, and leather in house, sew everything on our own machines, and add hardware, binding, and embroidery without sending work out. If your product needs a case with a fitted insert and a matching strap, one shop builds the whole assembly. UFP Technologies and COB Industries have both used us this way.
Can you put our name on it instead of yours?
Yes. We do private label work and have no interest in putting our own label on your product. Embroidered logos, woven labels, heat transfer, and embossed leather are all done here. Send us the artwork and we will match your brand standards.
How do you handle repeat orders over the life of a product?
We hold your pattern, your material spec, and your approved sample. When a release is due, we build from those, so the case that ships in year four matches the one you approved at launch. If you change the product, we revise the pattern and send a new sample before anything goes to production.
What paperwork can you provide?
CAGE code 0FDR6, DUNS 040211344, and SAM registration are on file. We are ITAR registered and a veteran- and woman-owned small business, which may count toward your supplier diversity requirements. Ask on the RFQ and we will include whatever your purchasing department needs with the quote.
