What makes a quote fast

  • The part it protects. Dimensions, or a photo next to a tape measure. A physical sample is better than either.
  • Material, if you know it. Cordura, ballistic nylon, canvas, vinyl, leather, foam density. If you do not know, say what it has to survive.
  • Quantity and cadence. One prototype, twenty-five a quarter, or one release of two thousand.
  • Compliance. Berry compliance, ITAR, mil-spec thread or webbing, or a print you have to build to.
  • Existing article number, if this is a reorder. We keep patterns on file.

Missing pieces are not a reason to wait. Send what you have and Tim will ask for the rest.

    We cut a pattern and sew a first article for you to handle and approve.

    The pattern goes on file and production runs off it, one release or staged across the year.

Tim opened the shop with forty dollars and a backpack of leather tools, and he has quoted nearly everything that has left the building since. That means the person pricing your job is the person who knows whether the machine can sew it. It also means you will not be handed off to someone reading a script.
